Living a Moral Life

“For he alone is the way that is worth following,
the light that is worth lighting,
the life that is worth living,
and the love that is worth loving.”

-Blessed Teresa of Calcutta (1910-1997)

Principle of Living a Moral Life

The first and last point of reference of this catechesis will always be Jesus Christ himself, who is 'the way, and the truth,and the life'  It is by looking to him in faith that Christ's faithful can hope that he himself fulfills his promises in them, and that, by loving him with the same love with which he has loved them, they may perform works in keeping their dignity.  (CCC 1698)

So God created man in his image;
in the image of God
he created him.

Genesis 1:27

Are My Everyday Choices Important?

Official Teachings

Conversion to Christ leads inevitably to walking in his footsteps.  It leads to a profoundly moral life based on the teachings of the Master found in the gospels and lived in the church for centuries.  (GDC in Plain English 85)

…The Christian community has received the gospel and the community is responsible to understand it, celebrate it, live it, and communicate it to the world… (GDC 105)

In the Church we are baptized.  In the Church we recieve the faith that the Church has preserved intact down through the centuries. In the Church we hear the living Word of God and learn how we must live if we want to please God.  (YOUCAT 343)
